Validea Capital Management Review: is it a Scam?

January 4, 2020 Theadmin Leave a comment

Welcome to Validea Capital Management review.

This website purports to offer “proven investment strategies of Wall Street legends”.

We take this claim with a pinch of salt.

Validea Capital Management claims to offer actively-managed accounts, separate accounts and a robo advisor.

The website is not making any aggressive income claims like the following services purporting to offer Forex managed accounts:

Forex92.com

LadyF Trader

Validea Capital tells investors that they’ve researched the best performing stocks in history and developed a computer model to adapt the same strategies used by investment gurus like Warren Buffet.

In addition to this, they want investors to know that their style of portfolio management is emotion-free and tax-efficient.

On top of the 3 products, the website is also offering a book called “the Guru Investor: how to beat the market using history’s best investment strategies.”

The website lists John Reese as the CEO and Founder of Validea.com and Jack Forehand as the Chief Investment Officer.

These fancy names are really intimidating to the financially unsophisticated. Their professional backgrounds is equally intimidating and very convincing.

However, we still have to get back to the basics. We need to find out whether Validea Capital is a scam or legit investment website.

We’re not able to find company information anywhere.

Nevertheless, admins can be contacted using the phone number 800-730-3457 or email address [email protected]

Validea Capital Management review

They sell the idea that Validea Capital is following the investment strategies of stock market legends.

In addition to this, they claim that their service has low fees and offers access to “investment professionals” if need be.

Their “proven investment strategies” allegedly generate 20% returns on an annual basis.

While this is a reasonable figure, investors would like to verify these figures before any money can be put in.

Validea Capital also reassures its clients that they’re implementing the investment process with discipline and can customize portfolio to each client.

Description of their 3 investment products are as follows:

[tabs][tab title=”Validea Legends Advisor”]Minimum investment: $25,000

Fees: 0.25% management fee

Customized portfolio for each investor: √

Uncorrelated assets and downside protection to limit risk

Factor-based stock selection using proven strategies

Tax-efficient and transparent

A mix of multiple stock picking models

Individual portfolio optimization: √

Stock picking models can be customized for each investor

Is Validea Capital Management legit or a scam?

First off, their fees are reasonable and promised returns are also realistic enough.

However, investors should exercise caution because Validea Capital is providing an investment service with no third-party audited results.

Perhaps investors could request them to send these reports for verification. Otherwise we don’t find this service any suspicious.

Investors will also have to realize that even though Validea Capital is promising returns from investment strategies they claim were modeled from then likes of Warren Buffet, success is not guaranteed.

Every investment is risky and so we have to verify the credibility of their profiles to be sure that they indeed have the expertise and experience as claimed on their website.

Conclusion

There’s no minimum for investing in ETFs using Validea Capital Management’s service.

This would be a good option for those who don’t want to commit large sums of money.

However, if one is comfortable with the minimum deposit required to get started with their managed account or Validea legends advisor, then due dilligence must be exercised.

Ask them for the track record of their stock picking investment models.

If we can get third-party audited results for these models, we can definitely go in with confidence. As at now, we’re seated on the fence regarding this service.
