Panda Investing Review: Is pandainvesting.com Scam?
Panda Investing offers managed Forex accounts, trading signals and binary option investment opportunities. They claim that Panda Investing was created in 2010 by a team of technical analysts, financial market researchers and founders of Forex and metal brokerages.
A who.is search for the domain of the website shows that Panda Investing was started in 2013 as opposed to 2010. It is also not clear who’s behind this managed Forex account service. The team is anonymous and so common sense would tell you that a fund manager who is not transparent with his identity is someone not worth trusting 100%.
Panda Investing is offering managed trading accounts for people of the Islamic faith as well. They are currently offering 4 different types of managed trading accounts based on the risk tolerance of investors.
Clients can pick a low-risk, medium or high risk managed account type for a variety of monthly returns.
In terms of location, Panda Investing is operating their business out o the UK. Customers can call +44 2032 90 80 85, use Skype (Pandainvesting) or email.
Note: Those of you who want to use Forex trading robots can search for them on this page.
Panda Investing review
This portfolio management service appears to target Forex investors as well as those who want to use signals to trade on their own.
On the other hand, their low-risk portfolio management service advertises a return of 10% while the most aggressive managed trading account advertises a return of 80% per month.
A monthly return of 10% is reasonable. Most managed Forex account services provide this figure every month without any problem.
However, 80% a month would mean that the fund manager is simply risking too much in order to pursue massive returns.
To this effect, I would like to know what kind of trading strategies that Panda Investing is using on their portfolio management service.
Secondly, they claim to provide binary options trading but it is not immediately clear whether they’re providing signals for binary traders or managing their accounts.
Details of Panda Investing Managed account types
Low-risk Panda Portfolio……….. $10,000 minimum deposit…………….30% management fee
Medium-risk Panda Portfolio……….$10,000 minimum deposit………. 27% management fee
High-risk Panda Portfolio……………$10,000 minimum deposit………….25% management fee
Institutional Investors ……………..$100,000 minimum deposit …………20% management fee
Trading signals
They offer trading signals for currencies, commodities, metals and indices. The monthly subscription cost is $300 but if you want to subscribe for 2 or 3 months, you will pay $500 or $700 respectively.
Every month, this managed account provider claims that traders will receive between 20 to 30 trading signals and they must execute at least 10 to remain profitable.
Entry, take profit and stop loss are provided. However, no discussion of the trading strategy at all. Even Price Action Forex Ltd is better than this service because at least they explain their trading strategy although I still don’t recommend them.
Panda Investing review: Trading Strategies
There is no disclosure of the trading strategies used to manage clients’ accounts. This portfolio management service only tells us that their accounts are divided into low risk, medium risk and high risk trading.
We expect every managed account provider to disclose their trading strategies so that investors who want to join their program can do so once they have this information handy.
For professional traders like me, I expect to see more than just the mention of technical and fundamental analysis. I want to see much more in terms of how they manage risk because they claim that they are professionally managing risks.
Also, their highest risk managed trading accounts has a draw down of 80% of the initial capital. In trading, it is not worth risking more than you can afford to lose in a bid to chase super huge returns.
So I immediately rule out this managed account type because no investor would want to gamble with his hard-earned money.
Panda Investing review: Forex rebates/cashback
Forex rebates reward investors with some money regardless of whether a trade ends in the profit or loss.
Panda Investing is providing Forex broker recommendations and claiming that they’ll reward traders who open accounts with their affiliated brokers.
Trading performance
Past performance is not an indication of future performance but at least we should be given a link to their myfxbook account.
If that’s not the case, a redacted broker statement would suffice. None of these two things are available.
So this portfolio management service still expect investors to trust them with their $10,000 hard earned money. I don’t think this will be possible.
Customer reviews
I did not see any customer feedback or review from anyone. It would only make sense for this portfolio management service to attract some reviews because they’ve been around for a couple of years now.
This Facebook page does not give me a clear overview of what investors are saying. Reason? They just rated it 5 stars but no text to tell us why they rated it 5 star.
On top of this, there’s no proof that these ratings are coming from genuine investors of Panda Investing.
Conclusion
You can remember the following before putting your hard earned money here:
That…… Panda Investing does not have a track record of successful trading.
The owners or traders responsible for this managed account service are anonymous and their trading skills cannot be verified, thanks to the fact that they did not verify the income numbers which they advertise.
Finally, Panda Investing is just a managed account provider. They are doing absolutely nothing to persuade investors of their prowess in trading.
Because of the above reasons, we fear recommending this service to investors since we have no evidence that the fund manager is trading profitably.
