Today’s review is about Ark Wealth Solutions.

Ark Wealth Solution’s website can be found at arkws.com.

Arkws.com was registered in February 2015 (according to who.is).

However, the New Jersey based financial advisor and estate planner is proclaiming to have 50 years of combined experience.

Ark Wealth Solutions also proclaims to offer a high level of customer satisfaction.

They want their clients to know that they’re going to help them achieve “financial stability”.

This is supposedly done through personalized service as well as helping clients achieve their goals.

They also claim that Arkws.com develops customized strategies to safeguard their consumer’s future.

Ark Wealth Solutions review: Is AWS a legit wealth manager and planner?

That said, we’d like to remind you that money and investment are a very delicate area as most people don’t dream of ever losing what they’ve worked for in their early years.

Now, the question is whether Ark Wealth Solutions is legit? Can they help you grow your portfolio or is this just an investment scam?

Ark Wealth Solutions review

We begin this review by discussing details of the people behind Ark Wealth Solutions as well as the company they work for.

They boldly state on the official company’s website that Ark Wealth Solutions is your “trusted financial planning partner”.

However, looking at the footer of the website, we find some contradicting information.

The first claim is that AWS is a registered representatives of Hornor, Townsend & Kent, LLC (HTK).

We find a similar statement on on the website of Cavalieri Financial Group.

It appears that  Cavalieri Financial Group is managed by the same people who run Ark Wealth Solutions.

That aside, investment advisory is apparently offered through Hornor, Townsend & Kent, LLC (HTK). This is the second statement.

Hornor, Townsend & Kent, LLC (HTK) is actually a FINRA-registered broker. We’ve verified this.

Finally, Hornor, Townsend & Kent, LLC (HTK) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company.

At the same time, this statements ends by saying that Ark Wealth Solutions (AWS) and affiliates are actually independent of HTK.

In the words, Ark Wealth Solutions is denying what they just told their clients in the fine print.

At this point, we’d like to know whether or not HTK is involved in any dealings with Ark Wealth Solutions.

It’s clear that the above statements are contradicting each other, something that we may treat as a red flag.

Also, the current President of Ark Wealth Solutions is Daniel M. Kaplan.

Daniel M. Kaplan’s profile states that he began his career in the financial markets more than 25 years ago.

He has allegedly worked as a “treasurer and chief dealer” at some of the “largest banks”.

The names of these banks have not been mentioned on his profile.

However, if this information is true, it would basically mean that this statement can be verified.

His profile also states that he’s currently the President of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors – Monmouth/Ocean Chapter).

Prior to this, the president of Ark Wealth Solutions worked for MetLife’s Division of Estate Planning for Special Needs and Families.

Dan truly has an impressive resume. But we wished some of the statements here could easily be verified.

We’re not dismissing his resume in any way.

All we’re saying is that there are many people with fake resumes on the internet and their job is to make it look as if they’re qualified to offer what they claim to offer.

Ark Wealth Solutions review: what they claim to do

The company would like its clients to know that they’re intending to preserve their clients’ assets while allowing room for growth.

They provide financial solutions in the following areas:

  • Retirement
  • Investment
  • Tax
  • Estate
  • Insurance

AWS have also provided some explanation on their website concerning how they intend to achieve their goals with relation to their consumer’s needs.

The process of preserving and growing portfolio involves reviewing one’s cash flow, analyzing savings rate and return on investment, assessing risk profile, making adjustments on taxation, providing solutions for efficient transfer of wealth, ultimately leading to annual review of your progress to ensure you’re on the right track.

AWS’s claim to fame is that they educate and help with making sound financial decisions.

They recon that there are many different kinds of financial products.

While their approach sounds professional and helpful, we still doubt the efficacy of their investment and wealth planning products.

We need details of their track record. An experienced wealth planner should actually find it easy to prove that they’ve been helping people to protect and grow their wealth.

In addition to this, online reviews should come handy. Despite existing for the last 4 or 5 years, Ark Wealth Solutions’ Facebook page only has ratings from 5 people.

Those ratings are all 5 stars and this is quite weird because we expected plenty of feedback from customers giving mixed opinions.

This feedback could be legit but it could also be coming from the company’s own staff.

Other than this, we do not have reviews anywhere else.; no BBB ratings, no nothing.

Conclusion

We expected Mr. Dan of Ark Wealth Solutions to be a registered CTA.

With then kind of product that AWS is offering, there’s no way the operators can afford to run the service without a license at least.

It seems that what they have for a license is an arrangement between them and Hornor, Townsend & Kent, LLC (HTK) to offer investment advisory under HTK.

However, the contradicting part is their website claims that AWS and its affiliates are acting independently of HTK.

To avoid of all of this, they should probably consider SEC registration.

Otherwise, Ark Wealth Solutions would be offering an illegal investment service.
